Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Network

We have collaborated with the government by offering technical assistance in updating key environmental policies, including the National Biodiversity Targets and indicators under the Early Action Support Project to implement the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF). Our support extends to strengthening the Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Network (BESNet) and aligning national strategies with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Through these efforts, we have contributed to:

The mainstreaming of biodiversity into national development plans,
The development of evidence-based indicators for tracking conservation outcomes, and
The capacity building of key stakeholders at federal and state levels for effective environmental governance.

In addition, our collaboration has facilitated multisectoral dialogues, enhanced data driven decision-making, and promoted the integration of biodiversity values into climate adaptation, land-use planning, and natural resource management. These initiatives are all aimed at fostering an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable planet for current and future generations.

🌿 As part of our contribution to the Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Network (BESNet), we have implemented community-focused projects that promote pollinator protection and sustainable livelihoods through beekeeping.
